Bride Definition — What is a Bride?

A bride can be described as woman who will be about to become married or perhaps who has been recently married. The definition of is often utilized to refer to the female partner in a marriage, playing with some cases it can be used for the groom.

A bridegroom (also reduced to groom) is a person who is gonna be committed or who may have just been married. He’s often combined with one or more bridesmaids and a best man.

In many cultures, the bridegroom makes a payment called dowry to his near future wife’s family. This payment may include animals, money, items, or other valuables. It is usually considered an indicator of fertility and an assurance that the couple will be cared for financially following your marriage. It might be a sign of respect and loyalty between the families.
